Camping St Louis
Camping St Louis is a quiet, well situated campsite offering restaurant and take away facilities. It is found between the villages of Pegomas, with shops, restaurants, supermarkets and a farmers market (all within walking distance) and La Roquette, which has more shops and restaurants. The campsite has an excellent pool open from 10am to 7pm, a toddler's pool and a water slide. There is also a little snack bar that opens daily and a larger restaurant with take away facilities. Security boxes are available in the office.
The city of Cannes and the wonderful Riviera beaches are approximately 4.5 miles away. A bus service runs south to Cannes, with shops and beaches, passing through St Jean where there are more shops and restaurants.
From Cannes you can take the coastal train and stop off to visit Antibes, Nice, Monaco, Menton and Ventimiglia in Italy, which holds a weekly duty free market on Fridays. Across the road the service runs north to Grasse, home of the perfumeries, and its bustling old town. Also worth a visit are Mouans Sartout (market Tuesday morning), Mougins and Valbonne (market Friday morning) and many of the pretty hill towns nearby.
In July, when the lavender is at its best, a trip up to the plains to see the lavender in full bloom before the harvest, is spectacular. There is an excellent Intermarche (supermarket), where you can buy everything you need, directly across from the site which is open daily (but closes for lunch) and Sunday mornings.

Additionally, the village of Pegomas has further shops, a bar, pharmacy, banks with cash machines, and a newsagent and post office. There are a number of excellent friendly restaurants offering superb food, at reasonable rates.
Overall, the location is excellent and the more adventurous could use the caravan as a base to explore anywhere along the coast, or indeed parts of Northern Italy.
